This is great news. Now hopefully, chronic pain patients can get some headway regarding this ridiculous opioid crisis baloney this country has taken. Dr Andrew Kolodney was paid to the tune is 2 million to start this narrative! No one understands what is going on until you suffer a few compression fractures or some horrible disease like GBD when they have to jump through hoops and may or may not get their medications because of this ridiculous thing! My friend's husband 76 year old, suffered five compression fractures, went to the ER where they gave him Tylenol (seriously folks???) and he died there holding her hand FROM EXCRUCIATING PAIN! 😡😡😡😡

RFK Jr. praised President Trump for several minutes after the latter reached an agreement that other politicians considered impossible.

During the press conference, the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Dr. Mehmet Oz, explained the importance of the commitment by Pfizer and other biopharmaceutical companies to conduct research in the U.S., manufacture in the U.S., and lower drug prices for Americans.

Supporters argue that the agreement represents a significant step toward fairness. They believe it ends what they describe as an imbalance in which Americans subsidize lower drug prices abroad. Trump presented the agreement as proof that his administration can stand up to powerful industries and ensure results for consumers.

DELIVERING REDUCED COSTS: actions will result in tangible cost savings to American patients and the healthcare system as a whole. Taken together, more than 100 million patients are impacted by the diseases Pfizer’s medicines treat, and many of those will benefit from the President’s successful negotiation of lower prices for Americans. Examples include:

• Eucrisa, a topical ointment for atopic dermatitis, will be made available at an 80% discount to patients purchasing directly.

• Xeljanz, a widely used oral medication for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ulcerative colitis, will be available at a 40% discount to patients purchasing directly.

• Zavzpret, a commonly utilized treatment for migraines, will be sold directly to patients at a 50% discount.

Critics warn that agreements with Big Pharma could lead to unequal outcomes. They caution that Pfizer's concessions, such as tariff reductions, could encourage similar demands from others. Uncertainty persists for smaller biotech companies, which are adjusting to most-favored-nation pricing, and for innovators if margins shrink.

The truth is, unless Americans restore their health through good nutrition, exercise, and other healthy habits, and reduce their reliance on the biopharmaceutical industry for medicines and vaccines, the biopharmaceutical giants aren't going away. In fact, 80% of the prescription and over-the-counter drugs Americans depend on come from China.
