This is a great and comprehensive review. I often see inflammation described as “bad,” but isn’t it fundamentally a protective reaction of the body? Could systemic inflammation be misunderstood — and should we focus more on identifying and addressing its root causes, such as chronic infections, environmental toxins, mitochondrial dysfunction, stress, or sleep deprivation?

Curcumin is clearly a hot topic, with many supplements promoted, though clinical evidence beyond ulcerative colitis still seems limited. Even if curcumin appears safe, there are occasional reports of adverse events.
