I love this article . I want to share , my using of DMSO for a sinus wash . in all the pieces that I have read , I found no instructions or doses on sinus wash . So I had to try and see. I thought about this a lot , and thought that 1/2 teaspoon of DMSO 99% ,mixed in 16 oz of water , might be OK . no ! way to strong , it burned and stung , for 15-20 minutes , a few days later I tried 1/4 teaspoon 99% ,still to strong , it burned as bad as the 1/2 teaspoon , of rethinking this , I decided to try 50% DMSO 1/4 teaspoon , still it burned and stung . Then I went to 1/8 teaspoon in 16 oz. of water and it was bearable . and very cleansing . I have had a serious sinus infection since 2020 , I am allergic to antibiotics , so I stay away from big pHARMa . I use herbal antibiotics , and was using the sinus wash daily ,with the salt packets , it was relief but only for a few hours , before my head was full of mucus again . so I was looking to find a way with the DMSO . I have used it for years externally . the infection is mostly gone . I do use sterile filtered water with 1/8 teaspoon of DMSO ,50% .
I had read that 5% was being used for eye drops , so I had to figure out to get 5% , I used 9 1/2 teaspoons of sterile filtered water ,and 1/2 teaspoon of 99% ,with my math that was 5% . What I found amazing was that did not burn or sting , BUT when I used 1/8 teaspoon (50%) in 16 oz. of water for sinus wash , it really burned .it seems your sinus are more tender than our eyes .
I really don't see any improvement , but have only been doing the eye drops for 2 months . Using the sinus wash ,makes my eyes burn and sting , that may be doing more than the eye drops . I also can feel the sting in my scalp and ears , I thought that was amazing . I was scared doing the sinus wash ,without any instructions using "try and see" .
I find that the sodium ascorbate eye drops ,are more effective for me . 50ml of sterile water + 500mg of sodium ascorbate (non acidic vit C) I use this 3-4 times a day . Using the Dmso drops did not make my eyes feel good . It didn't do anything ,that I could tell. I still use the DMSO in the sinus wash , It is healing my sinus infection .
Gratitude to Midwestern Doctor and Dr. Mercola for these exceptional publications. In this recent study, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is an amphipathic substance known for its remarkable ability to dissolve both organic and inorganic compounds. This versatility makes DMSO a widely used solvent for a variety of chemicals. Furthermore, DMSO can penetrate the phospholipid bilayer of cell membranes, forming "water pores" that facilitate the transport of substances into the cell.
Therapeutically, DMSO exhibits several properties, including anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. In the United States, it is used as a topical treatment for conditions such as osteoarthritis and interstitial cystitis, often in combination with analgesics. Based on the clinical application of DMSO in various conditions, it is important to highlight the therapeutic effects of DMSO that have been documented in several studies. DMSO modulates critical biological pathways by inhibiting NF-κB and MAPK signaling, which are integral to the control of signaling molecule production. Furthermore, DMSO has been shown to reduce the levels of specific cytokines such as TNF-α and IFN-γ, further contributing to its therapeutic properties. These mechanisms suggest potential benefits of DMSO in the management of various medical conditions. DMSO has been used as a therapeutic agent for ocular diseases such as superficial keratitis in dogs. DMSO has been applied to humans as an ophthalmic treatment to examine the progression of retinitis pigmentosa and macular degeneration. This study aimed to investigate the functional improvements of the retina after the first application of DMSO via subconjunctival injection in a rat model of diabetic retinopathy type 1 (DR). The objective was to objectively describe these effects through clinical assessments of retinal function using electroretinography (ERG) and histological analysis of retinal changes associated with DR. In conclusion, subconjunctival DMSO injection was effective in diabetic retinopathy. The potential applicability of 50% DMSO in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy was supported, and the efficacy of subconjunctival injection was confirmed.
I greatly appreciate this information about DMSO. I just had incredible luck applying 70% DMSO/30% Aloe directly to a cold sore. Immediately stopped it from growing! I've had cold sores my whole life and have tried so many different remedies and none has halted the growth and spreading of a cold sore like DMSO!
I need help with dosage for the eyes and sinuses. I would like to make eye drops to treat allergies, floaters and perhaps near-sightedness (wouldn't that be amazing!) As mentioned above, I have a large bottle of 70% DMSO/30% Aloe. Wondering how I to create an appropriate strength solution for eyes and sinuses from this strength of DMSO? Thank you!
Just wild isn't it? We have tons of information how to reboot how to grow, provide, process foods, pursue activities to Prevent Dis-Ease; And, if you have ever used the DMSO and seen how yes, it does move around the body to wherever it may do the most good; Shows for over at least half a century there has been what should have been a Foundational Tool in medicine to address a hosts of Dis-Ease and Injuries that couldn't have been prevented; Or heal someone who pursued the wrong health path. As Corrupt Corporate Capture already long established, it is easy to see just why they suppressed such a useful tool. So much praise for Doc M to share a Midwestern Doctors research. If not for those who have pushed back for decades to arrive at this point where despite all the tools to have been used to suppress DMSO and more are still being used, the long struggle to reveal better ways, has finally brought us to the point where those mal-information tools have been revealed, and have less impact than they ever had. Come together people, spread the word about not just DMSO but the many pursuits of a better way. Just Sayn'
Currently as much as I have a focus to avoid it, Amazon. I believe part of the trouble to find 'safe' DMSO is the Medical Mafia stranglehold on how things can be presented. One of those things like some organic ag products have to carry caution - toxic when they are not. Example; mild soap spray to kill pests but are easily washed off, and pose little to no threat, but still have to carry a warning. Currently am using a DMSO gel at 70% DMSO and 30% water. Have positives popping up in many places where it was not applied as the article has covered.
I just wish you could buy already made up eye drops with DMSO. I'm scared to try to make it myself. There's so many articles about DMSO but it just leaves you hanging on which ones you should get & directions.

I use the Neilmed 16 oz sinus wash bottle , you can get anywhere , Walmart , CVS , amazon or at Neilmed .
I also make eye drops with DMSO and sterile water . I made a 5% solution and put in the eye dropper . I have cataracts and dry eyes .
Exactly how do you prepare the mixture? How long have you been undergoing cataract treatment? Have you obtained satisfactory results?

I'm just starting to learn about DSMO. Where is quality DMSO purchased? Where can reliable instructions for use be found?
