I don't know how this is possible. Dr. Brownstein has the opposite view; that we are all deficient in iodine.

I am in disagreement.....since Iodine and fluorine are both Halaogynes

First my sister had here thyroid gland removed....and I feel ,(my Opinion) since she was a heavy Tea drinker who would drink 15+ cups of Tea a day and Tea contains about 1+mg of fluorine..thats at least 15+++ Mg of fluorine a day....and Fluorine's Ion is fluoride and Fluoride can and often will replace Iodine in the Thyroid Gland....

Maybe study the actions of fluoride on the human body..........

NAW.....Just keep drinking the City Fluoridated water sometime over 10-12 PPM...or its in YOUR coffee and beer and soda........oh I know too much thinking eh?

there is ALSO .of interest....Since Halogens often replace each other...and Fluoride is a Ion of Fl;uorine its is al;so open to attract a few radioactive chemials....

I really don't think this Dr. Alan Christianson and Ashley Armstrong have adequately investigated their research......there are thousands of possibilities to come to a simple conclusion as "excssive iodine" ....there are many factors including Radio Frequencies radiation and Ionizing Radiation.....

People have very little knowledge about Ionizing and Non-Ionizing Radiations and their effects on the human body and organs....

If you search Iodine in your censored library, at least 5 articles you wrote about iodine insufficiency come up. Based on this, I have been taking Ioderal for years. And now you are saying the complete opposite!!!

Same with keto recommendations that you have now reversed. I used to trust you but how can anyone when you keep reversing??? I am stopping my membership! What is your problem??? I am so disappointed in you and angry!

I, too, have been taking Iodoral for years based on Drs. Mercola's and Brownstein's recommendations and am shocked of the sudden reversal. Dr. Brownstein still recommends it:

I'm so happy to know that I'm not the only one seeing this inconsistency! I was not familiar with Dr Brownstein so after watching the link I have decided to resume my Ioderal. Thank you!

Too many inconsistencies these days. No comments allowed on the Mercola website. I wonder what's going on?

I posted the below comment this morning on the you tube as there was no place to comment on the email article (which is now mysteriously missing from my inbox). A while after posting it, it was still shown as the top post which was suspicious, so I opened a different browser and the comment was gone entirely. However I can still search the video in the browser I posted it in and my comment still shows up. This whole thing is very strange or creepy.

The comment I posted on the top youtube from this article:

Contradicts Mercola's previous stuff on iodine. Maintains the whole Wolff-Checkoff scam. Japanese have traditionally eaten massive amounts of iodine with much lower incidence of breast cancer. Ray Peat was cool but he wasn't god and he was a heavy reader of medical literature. He might of been fooled by Wolff-Checkoff. The traditional Japanese diet and health outcomes contradicts pretty much this whole video. The FDA has recommended reducing iodine use in bread baking and dairy industry since the 1970s which greatly increased exposure to bromides and decreased iodine. They did change track in the last couple or so decades but the use of iodine mimickers like fluoride and bromide have increased dramatically since then as well. To go out on a limb here; it is possible that a lot of what is now being seen as apparent iodine allergies is due to bodies so full of iodine mimickers like fluorine bromine etc that when presented with iodine could cause like a detox reaction that can even be life threatening. I agree with all others on the need for a debate btw Dr Christianson and Dr Brownstein or at least a rebuttal from Dr Brownstein

dr mercola, if you are going to post a complete reversal from your previous opinion and Dr. brownsteins extensive established research and protocols you had better have a better explaination than just interviewing this ND and posting this article. We are flooded with bromines and flouride and as halidea they replace iodine. I have been made to believe that we are all severely iodine deficient. You, the ND you reference and dr brownstein need a podcast episide asap.
