I guess Dr. Ken Berry, MD (20 years carnivore) and Dr. Shawn Baker, MD (8 years carnivore) are dying even though they look very healthy and say they have excellent bloodwork panels.

Bella, Steak and Butter Gal (6 years carnivore), somehow looks so much healthier than when she was eating lots of vegetables and fruits and grains.

Why are there many people reporting being healed from so many chronic illnesses and have been on carnivore for multiple years?

Because some people do well on every kind of extreme diet. That doesn’t mean you will.

Not an answer. Ridiculous answer. I’ll never eat any other way. Carnivore cured my arthritis and healed my IBD.

I say go ahead and eat plants and especially bread. We cannot feed the world beef because there is not enough to go around. So, I don’t push meat eating.

They like to keep us addicted and stupid.

Carnivore is a great ride as long as you have plenty of cortisol. I also felt like a million bucks on it, until I didn’t.

I wasn't healed because of what i ate, meat or vegetables, but because I went organic! I had terminal lymphoma in 2000, chemos failed, told 3 months go home and plan your funeral! I went organic, cut out all processed sugar and 1 year later I was in complete remission!INow at 85, I eat a balanced diet of meats, healthy fats and veggie, fruits. I also got my diabetes under control, sugar was 585 in 2000, heart better. I am now off all prescribed meds, just organic, vitamins, minerals, herbs. Drs say keep doing what you are doing.

Good job Dorlis !!! Yes, so many mothers with autistic children are experiencing exactly what you experienced; going organic can heal many health conditions.

Other people are still needing more extreme diet changes.

I’ve grown much of my food for 40 years and eaten organic much of that time, but still had negative effects from oxalates and needed to cut out foods with much of those at all.

Bodies and their needs are so different.

Consider the latest information provided by Dr. Mercola:

1) While insulin resistance is commonly identified as the root cause of most chronic diseases, it is also only a symptom of a deeper problem. At the root of the problem is impaired cellular energy production in the mitochondria.

2) Insulin resistance occurs when cells are unable to properly oxidize or burn glucose.

3) When your body switches to burning fat, this results in a reduction of your metabolic rate, which is contrary to optimal health. For optimal health, you need a high metabolic rate, and this is facilitated when your metabolism speeds up by burning glucose in your mitochondria.

4) A general guideline for most average-sized people is between 150 and 250 grams of healthy carbohydrates per day. If you are very active, this could be increased to 500 or 600 grams per day. Keep in mind that as you increase your carbohydrate intake, you should also reduce your fat intake. Consuming fats above approximately 30 to 40% of daily calories will tend to inhibit glucose metabolism.

5) Healthy carbohydrate choices include whole fresh fruits, fruit juices, root vegetables such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, parsnips, and carrots, white rice, raw honey, and maple syrup.

The bioenergetic theory, and all your links below, fail to talk about the Mitochondrial Uncoupling, due to eating in a Time Restricted Feeding window of 6 to 8 hours, that allows the body to exist on ketones for a significant part of the day, wasting the ketones but using them as a signalling molecule to generate new mitochondria. This is the difference between your theory of maximum energy production, and energy wasting during ketosis, to generate new mitochondria. You have to Uncouple your Mitochondria from the normal energy production part of the cycle to get more Mitochondria at the end of the day. Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT oils) are the key to doing this. You only use these MCTs though when you are burning ketones during your time fasting, mostly after fasting at least 12 hours and burning up all the glucose taken in by the cells during your 7-8 hour eating window. We need carbohydrates for our bodies and brains. Glucose is the most important substrate for proper brain function and development, with increased glucose consumption related to the need to create new brain structures and connections. Alterations in glucose homeostasis are inevitably associated with changes in the development of the nervous system. A diet for managing diabetes requires a diet high in low-glycemic-index vegetables. The carbohydrates in low-glycemic-index (GI) foods are digested and absorbed more slowly. This slow release of glucose into the bloodstream has been shown to be much more beneficial for the body, from improved energy levels to better control of type 2 diabetes and weight loss. Postprandial glucose, along with related hyperinsulinemia and lipidemia, has been implicated in the development of chronic metabolic diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and cardiovascular disease. Chronic postprandial hyperglycemia is a hallmark of insulin resistance and can induce oxidative stress, the formation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) and lipid peroxidase products, leading to endothelial dysfunction, dyslipidemia, and the expression of inflammatory genes. The phytochemicals in fruits and carbohydrates in general minimize hyperglycemia.

Research shows that those who skip or delay breakfast are more likely to experience mood swings. Skipping breakfast can increase the risk of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, decreased cognitive performance, and frailty.

Increased activity and a diet consisting primarily of carbohydrates with a low glycemic index and high fiber content are more likely to reduce hunger and provide greater satiety, leading to a favorable energy balance that combats diabetes by helping to lose excess body fat. Adequate levels of ghrelin, the hormone that, along with leptin, regulates appetite and satiety, can hinder weight loss if not properly controlled. There are factors that can influence ghrelin production, such as sleep and stress, which increase ghrelin; protein, which reduces ghrelin; and soluble fiber, which reduces ghrelin. Exercise regulates ghrelin.

The interaction between flavonoids and the target proteins of the insulin signaling pathway characterizes the bioactivities of flavonoids, such as anti-inflammatory, hypolipidemic, and antioxidant properties. Nutrients such as resveratrol from grapes, berberine in goldenseal and barberry, anthocyanin extracts from purple plants, curcumin from turmeric, and flavonoids from citrus fruits, broccoli, tomatoes, and red onions, as well as green tea, cocoa, and spices like thyme and mint, are rich in flavonoids and play a significant role in improving insulin resistance at the molecular level and reducing the risk of diabetes and obesity.

No. I disagree.

My husband had a stroke. After his stroke he was diagnosed with vascular dementia, Alzheimer’s, and front brain shrinkage. Docs put him on cholesterol medication, SSRI’s, and several other drugs. He got worse quickly.

I was already on low carb so I put him on low carb. We did that for about a year.

I went carnivore because of my IBD. I was a bloody mess. Husband jumped on board.

Carnivore is the only thing that has slowed the progression.

When he had that stroke. He was 226 pounds. Had a big round hard belly. Now, he is 153 pounds and his belly is no longer hard.

We decided to stop going to the doctors. My husband was never offered any therapy. He was sent to specialist after specialist and every one of them kicked the can. The primary was of no help except to say my husband’s symptoms were consistent with his brain injury. Again, no therapy!

Contrast this with my first husband. He had a stroke in 2001 and all the bells and whistles happened immediately. He was in rehab for months. We practically lived at the hospital. All of paid for by insurance.

He never went through siloed medical care system. He had teams that worked together to make him better again.

Fast forward to 2023 and none of what experienced in 2001 has transpired today. We were getting siloed medical treatment. We see tons of specialists, that prescribe pills. Every specialist we saw prescribed us pills.

Neurologist put him on high dose of cholesterol. I asked him if cholesterol was bad for the brain. He said, no cholesterol was good for the brain. That sugar was needed in the brain. I’m like WTF!

Only thing that has helped us so far is the carnivore diet. These doctors lie to us because they themselves have been captured. They ignorant and believe in Big Pharma for good reason. I see them now as pill pushing slaves. Not worthy of pedestal they put themselves on. Monkey see, monkey do.

I’m curious how this stands up when looking at some cultures like the Inuit, who had virtually no carbs in their diet???

Wow, after reading this… I’ll never listen to Mercola advise at all.

I’m a carnivore. 118 pounds and stay around that weight.

Glucose is the bodies man fuel source?? Well, it will be if you’re eating carbs and sugar all the time.
