MAHA's goal is to reduce chronic diseases, and obesity is a major link to chronic diseases. Educating, educating, and educating the population about healthy lifestyle habits, especially children, is crucial.

Severe early-onset obesity is linked to an earlier and more severe risk of chronic diseases, such as high blood pressure, dyslipidemia, prediabetes, and premature mortality. Researchers at Duke University School of Medicine described severe obesity in young children as a "canary in the coal mine for the health of future generations." The best infant formulas are made primarily from corn syrup and are associated with a higher risk of obesity in the first five years of life; breastfeeding is associated with a lower risk of obesity.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) affects 32.4% of people worldwide and is the most common cause of liver transplantation in adults under 50. NAFLD also affects up to 9.6% of American children aged 2 to 19.

But drugs continue to have serious health consequences:

--GLP-1 drugs, such as Ozempic, dampen emotional responses, reduce life satisfaction, and significantly increase the risk of depression and suicidal ideation by altering brain chemistry and dopamine regulation.

---Ozempic and similar weight loss drugs have been linked to 162 deaths in the U.S., with adverse reactions increasing by 40% in six months as usage expands

---These medications are associated with serious side effects, including pancreatitis, bowel obstruction and stomach paralysis, with 80% to 90% of users experiencing at least one adverse event

---Studies have found a significant link between semaglutide (the active ingredient in Ozempic) and suicidal ideation, particularly in patients also taking antidepressants or antianxiety medications

---Emerging reports indicate severe kidney problems in some patients using these weight loss drugs

---Akkermansia, a beneficial gut bacteria, is a natural alternative to stimulate GLP-1 production, offering similar benefits without the risks associated with drugs like Ozempic

So, deeper fat stores hang on. Does this mean the dangerous fat to accumulate around the organs hangs on too? Along with the Zombie, Walking Dead, Vampire Faces come bingo wings, thigh slappers and belly flappers. So then if one can afford it, plastic surgery is needed to remove many more pound of stretched out skin.

Go back pre 70s and the numbers of morbidly obese people was extremely low compared today. So were the levels of chronically Ill. Type two diabetes was nearly nonexistent. Follow the numbers and it is clear so much suffering experienced today has not been a shortage of shots or pills.

A rigorously written summary. First and foremost, reduce obesity. Two important tests you can have done: fasting insulin (insulin resistance) because HbA1c (7.7) is very high, and ApoB, including Lp(a), or genetic cholesterol. The cholesterol you have is not the primary cause of cardiovascular events. Recent evidence confirms that abdominal obesity (waist diameter or circumference) is a more significant cardiovascular risk factor than body weight or BMI alone, due to its close relationship with insulin resistance, high blood pressure, chronic inflammation, and atherosclerosis. Waist circumference: one of the best clinical predictors of insulin resistance

Reducing abdominal fat produces simultaneous benefits:

1) improved insulin sensitivity,

2) lower blood pressure,

3) improved lipid profile,

4) reduced systemic inflammation,

5) decreased risk of heart attack and stroke. Even modest reductions in waist circumference (2–3 cm) are associated with a lower risk of developing hypertension.

Hypertension accelerates atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, stroke, heart failure, and kidney deterioration. When abdominal obesity, insulin resistance, and hypertension coexist, the cardiovascular risk is much greater than the risk posed by each factor alone.

An overlooked connection to the obesity epidemic is the propaganda against animal fat, and in particular, dairy fat. Butterfat contains an essential nutrient called conjugated linoleic acid, CLA. I have successfully used this nutrient for weight loss. Dieters and children are heavily urged to cut butterfat to cut calories--and that is a major reason there is suddenly so much childhood obesity and why dieters are so unsuccessful.
