Hundreds of people in the UK have suffered pancreatic problems linked to the use of weight-loss injections such as Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro. These cases have prompted health authorities to launch an investigation into the side effects of GLP-1 drugs (glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists).

According to the British newspaper The Guardian, the increase in cases of pancreatitis associated with the use of these medications was detected through the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency's (MHRA) Yellow Card Scheme.

Pancreatitis is one of the rare adverse reactions listed in the package inserts for these drugs. Theoretically, UK health authorities have detected nearly 400 cases in patients who used Mounjaro, Wegovy, Ozempic, and liraglutide.

Of these, almost half (181) were linked to tirzepatide (Mounjaro), the British newspaper reports. More than a quarter of these cases were reported in 2025. "Along with increased use, we are seeing a rise in the number of Yellow Card reports mentioning GLP-1 drugs and acute pancreatitis," an MHRA spokesperson told The Guardian. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has announced it will launch a study to investigate the causes of these adverse effects. "This needs to be thoroughly examined." Dr. Alison Cave, director of safety at the MHRA, stated: "Evidence shows that almost a third of drug side effects could be prevented with the introduction of genetic testing. Adverse drug reactions are projected to cost the NHS more than £2.2 billion a year in hospitalizations alone."

What does it take to break free from the Yes, It Does This One Thing, Look no further, There Is No Need to Look Further - time to toss it out there and see if it then does break, injures, causes something worse...meh...more business, profit opportunities. What does take to break free from wait until someone is sick and then address symptoms, not the cause or causes.

What does it take to stop the attacks on those who pursue True, Real Health to build Health, to Prevent Dis-Ease in the first place, to if possible actually repair, restore as much Real Health as possible and then if stuck with treat the symptoms for relief as a lost resort.

Real Health supports other forms of Real Wealth, Foundational Wealth beyond material Profit$, Profit$, Profits, short term gains for shareholders. Real Health and Real Wealths' potential is to make the Material Wealth actually have more meaning. Just Sayn'

Just, his words are very accurate. In an article published in Frontiers in Research Metrics and Analytics, Sergio Sismondo demonstrates that the corruption of medical science by the pharmaceutical industry has undermined the integrity of medical knowledge.

This research, instead of studying corruption through conflicts of interest, analyzes corrupting strategies that traditional analyses cannot detect. In addition to the corrupting influence of the money distributed by the industry, the author points to the “phantom management” of medical research—a process by which industry representatives develop and publish research on behalf of physicians and psychiatrists—as responsible for what he calls “epistemic corruption.” He writes:

“When a system for promoting knowledge loses integrity in a significant way and ceases to provide the reliable information expected of it, we can label this corruption as epistemic. Epistemic corruption often occurs because the system has been co-opted by interests at odds with some of the core objectives it is believed to be pursuing. There is now abundant evidence that the involvement of pharmaceutical companies corrupts medical science.” The current work describes the insidious and difficult-to-quantify form of corruption by ghost management as similar to the parasitic process of grafting one plant onto another. In grafting, the fruiting part of one plant is grafted onto the rootstock of another. The grafted plant then extracts nutrients from its host. According to the author, a corrupt, fraudulent, and industry-funded researcher has been grafted onto the foundation of medical science, borrowing some of its integrity and increasingly calling into question the entire body of knowledge.
