I know one thing, Im a tough nut when it comes to harsh tastes. On Mondays I spray my tongue with 8 spray pumps of pure magnesium oil. Tastes bad, but not enough that I ever stop.
However, even being a bad ass, DMSO is a whole different story. I received my DMSO liquid and gel. Used the gel on a hip and lower back and hands to improve circulation for cold fingers.
So One night I decide its time to ingest DMSO. I had read to start at a half tsp and go from there. Me? I add 2TBSP to full glass of water. Took a gulp and spit it back into the cup. 😩Yuckadoodle to the Max. 😏I put that batch in a spray bottle with a half cup more water and a 1/4 cup H202 and use it after a bath to spray on my body.
I think Im ready tonight to try a half tsp in a cup or more of water. Start slow Gary. And let me know qty you’re using in water.

Yes I too agree with low and going slow (and consistency). So I did follow thru with ½ tsp in a cup and half of water and guzzled it down. it was on par with my magnesium oil sprays. Not great tasting at all but tolerable. So when you’re up to it, give it a spin with either a ½ tsp or even a ¼ tsp to just try it out. Do you use the liquid on your skin or a gel? Is your gel 99.99% or is it cut with aloe? I’m not quite sure how to dilute the gel, but you could try a spray bottle with 2 cups water and maybe step slowly with just 1 TBSP. I thought about subscribing to “A Midwestern Doctor” as a paid subscriber for one month to be able to read his dosing info. I don’t know why, maybe because I’m a busy entrepreneur, but I just don’t pay for content generally. So on my substack, I just waded into having my own channel - but my topic has to do with the “Digital Life” with special focus on A.I. MG, I am 69 and in relatively good BMI shape... I eat GF\keto, speed walk, meditate but the body is starting to wear our out and breakdown and it's hard to accept that I can't be like I use to be. 6 weeks ago I was hauling some brush walking backwards and fell on my arse and jammed my shoulder trying to break my fall. My chiropractor said I tore a bicep tendon which she dry needled me. It sorta helped. I came across these articles by AMD on DMSO and started using liquid at 50% and have worked up to 70%... amazing but irritating on a daily use. I also use 70/30 cream with aloe which is also fantastic and less irritating. What I think maybe doable in the future is treating my tinnitus and high blood pressure, but, maybe not... it's hard to get use instructions because everyone and their symptoms are different. I'll just keep reading stories like yours and believe for the right answers. Peace MG
Best use for DMSO for brain health: Rub onto scalp, then apply the PBM helmet, which I got from Marvin Berman, PhD. I do all four sides of my head for 5-10 minutes each: R & L Fronto-temporal lobes, and R & L Parietal/Occipital lobes, each morning. I also add methylene blue 0.5 mg/kg of body weight each morning, and melatonin 50 mg each night. All this helps with improving working memory and other complex cognitive behaviors, by increasing synaptic density, neuroplasticity, and decreasing NFTs and amyloid plaque build-up. Please caution your readers about hair dyes and other synthetic colorants, shampoos, and cream rinses. Since DMSO is a solvent, you don't want it pulling all those toxins into the brain or it will do the reverse and actually CAUSE ALZHEIMER'S!
