Congratulations, as you continue to have good blood glucose levels. As we know, diabetes is one of the most common comorbidities in people with COVID-19. Diabetics infected with SARS-CoV-2 have a higher rate of hospital admission, severe pneumonia, and higher mortality compared to non-diabetics. Chronic hyperglycemia can compromise innate and humoral immunity. Furthermore, diabetes is associated with a chronic low-grade inflammatory state that favors the development of an exaggerated inflammatory response and, therefore, the onset of acute respiratory distress syndrome. Recent evidence has shown that SARS-CoV-2 is also capable of producing direct damage to the pancreas, which could worsen hyperglycemia and even induce the onset of diabetes in previously non-diabetic subjects. In this article, we will review the pathophysiological mechanisms that explain the bidirectional relationship between COVID-19 and diabetes mellitus, their implications for the prognosis, and the management of hyperglycemia in this group of patients. https://www.elsevier.es/es-revista-clinica-e-investigacion-arteriosclerosis-15-articulo-covid-19-diabetes-mellitus-una-relacion-S0214916820301054

Interesting report. The link to Dr. Mercola's latest reference indicates that guar gum (GG) [E412], present in both mixtures 2 and 5, has been implicated in its alteration of gut microbiota composition, leading to elevated proinflammatory markers and potential metabolic disturbances in a mouse model. Guar gum feeding increased colonic expression of genes that promote cell proliferation. GG exacerbated DSS-induced colitis, as evidenced by body weight loss, altered colonic crypt architecture, and increased proinflammatory markers, accompanied by decreased anti-inflammatory markers. Furthermore, GG feeding increased colonic expression of genes that promote cell proliferation. Consequently, extensive colonic tumorigenesis was observed in mice fed guar gum.

Guar gum is primarily used as a thickener, emulsifier, and stabilizer in the food industry and other fields. In food, it is used in the production of ice cream, sauces, baked goods, dairy products, and vegetable drinks.

As we know, maintaining a stable intestinal barrier is crucial to prevent the entry of various potentially harmful substances and pathogens into the internal environment. The disruption of this barrier is known as "leaky gut" or leaky gut syndrome and appears to be characterized by the release of bacterial metabolites and endotoxins, such as lipopolysaccharide (LPS), into the circulation. This condition, caused mainly by bacterial infections, oxidative stress, a high-fat diet, exposure to alcohol or chronic allergens, and dysbiosis, is closely linked to the development or progression of various systemic metabolic and autoimmune diseases, such as obesity, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), neurodegeneration, cardiovascular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and type 1 diabetes mellitus. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of these relationships:

Carrageenan [E407], a predominant emulsifier in Blend 2, impairs glucose metabolism in mice and exhibited inflammatory properties, which may be involved in the etiology of type 2 diabetes. The role of artificial sweeteners, such as those found in Blend 5, in gut microbiota disturbances has also been suggested. In particular, acesulfame-K [E950] and sucralose [E955] were observed to shape microbial populations and lead to dysbiosis, which in turn may increase glucose intolerance and changes in host physiology in mice. This was supported by the observation of similarities in the microbial populations of consumers of non-caloric artificial sweeteners and patients with type 2 diabetes.

One of the main concerns with artificial sweeteners is their potential impact on hormonal regulation. Certain artificial sweeteners, such as aspartame, undergo metabolic processes that produce methanol, which can be converted into formaldehyde. This process has raised concerns about potential estrogen receptor interactions and hormonal imbalances that could promote the development of breast cancer. The potential link between artificial sweeteners and hormonal disorders in breast cancer has been a topic of growing interest and research. Hormonal disorders, particularly those involving the estrogen and insulin pathways, play a crucial role in the development and progression of breast cancer. Consumption of artificially sweetened beverages is also positively associated with the risk of leukemia and negatively associated with the risk of colorectal cancer, among other cancers.

The introduction of cheap novel bioengineered compounds of fake sugar substitute for processed food that are ubiquitous (there is not normal sugar cane sugar anymore, the socalled organic regenerative ones are also laced with crap) has blown people up and ennervated them into passive bloated fat lazy slobs--as kids.

Obama introduced beet sugar as an alternative to the high fructose corn syrup the first mass produced fake sugar, addictive and toxic and highly fattening and endocrine system disrupting that had been discredited and outed as atoxin during his admin. Becasue it could be called "cane sugar" it soon replaced the domestic sugar supply's dwindling stock of pure sigar cane sugars. i read that it was 100% of bagged domestic sugar at that time.

Well Beet cane is a cattle fattener. It marbles muscle with fat in animals and humans. It can kill a malnourished horse if used without great caution when trying to restore weight quickly.

Now we have the cellular level nasty frankensugar. https://www.foodprocessing.com/ingredients/sweetening-solutions/article/33011028/sweetener-development-pushes-past-the-headlines

These substances are also contributing to h chidhood diabetes as there is no normal sugar left, and the kids are still receiving sugary foods and drinks including cheap foreign produced fruit sugar juice concentrates instead of authentic naturally balanced juice made from fruit.

Invert sugar is toxic too BTW.

How can one tell? I can tell IMMEDIATEly. These fake sugars ennervate and depress the hell out of my system instead of energizing. Natural sugar in moderation gives energy. Toxic sugar products put one to sleep, almost comotose, wuickly after imbibing and literally

I use beetroot juice in my exercises. Scientists working in various research groups around the world have analyzed the biochemical content of beets in terms of their potential ability to inhibit the progression of neurodegenerative diseases. The presence of numerous chemical compounds, including betalain pigments, phenols, and saponins, has been confirmed in the vegetable. Beetroot demonstrates great antioxidant potential. This is due not only to the presence of betalain dyes but also phenolic compounds such as ferulic, gallic, and vanillic acids. In addition to bioactive compounds, beets also contain inorganic compounds such as nitrates. As a result of their transformation, nitric oxide (II) is formed, which not only reduces blood pressure but can also improve blood circulation and oxygenation of the brain. In the elderly, blood supply to the brain is impaired. Tissue hypoxia impairs intellectual performance and can cause neurodegenerative diseases. As mentioned, nitric oxide (NO) causes blood vessel dilation and facilitates oxygen flow. This review analyzes these bioactive compounds (pigments, phenols, saponins) and summarizes the results of relevant experimental studies conducted using animal models. The overall results are promising, and further in-depth research into the potential uses of beetroot products in the prevention of diseases such as AD is warranted.

BEETROOT is NOT BEET SUGAR which is a derivative of the BEET FRUIT and used in an entirely different way. it is made in labs into a nasty cehmical derivative and its seetening directly causes fatty tissue to invade muscle in mammals.

Beets themselves in their own natural balance and whole fruit form are a nutrituve and healthy food , sounds like Beet ROOT , like BEET JUICE is very good for people, Beet sugar has been sued by farmers for years to rapidly produce delectable steaks in short lived fast weight gain to make higher priced desirous animals for market. I am an unapolegetic carnivore myself , but beet sugar is hideous and like high fructose corn syrup and all the frankensugars , terribly harmful for kids.

Here in the fattest state in the union where a farm state has degenerated into a

processed food state food desert, a 12 year old boy rached down to pick uop the dogleash of the pupster he was showcasing at an adoption event. As hes truggled to rise at 12 years olf he looked me in the eyes with real sorrow and said "I fell like an old man"! THIS IS ROTTEN SOCIETAL BETRAYAL OF OUR KIDS and you CANNOT BLAME THe FAMILieS it is almost impossible to find nutrtive wholesome food that is not contaminated by processors. I bake my own bread and eat vrtually no processed food i still weigh 125 pounds and can carry 50 and 55 pound grainand dogoffd bags at 73 for LONG dstances to the barn thorugh snow sleet and now mud but i am telling you it gets harder and harder to eat well and wisely

Aminah, I understood you perfectly and appreciate your explanations and willpower. We can also add that the worldwide incidence of tumors in individuals under 50 has increased by 79% in the last three decades, according to a new study published in the journal BMJ Oncology. Dietary risk factors, along with alcohol and tobacco consumption, have been identified as major contributors to this wave of early-onset cancers.

In fact, it is noted that gastrointestinal tumors are the fastest-growing, followed by cancers of the urinary and female reproductive systems. The low proportion of hereditary cases among those affected indicates the potential importance of these environmental and behavioral factors.

There is also an upward trend in the prevalence of these cancers, although this increase is gradual rather than abrupt. The most notable category is gastrointestinal cancers, which reinforces the hypothesis that there is a direct correlation with diet. When considering diet and eating habits, especially among young people, over these three decades, it can be deduced that changes in these areas are a determining factor.

Thank you Doc & Staff. You were one of the first to point out with the standard fare people experience with We Have A Pill For That, that it is not just the offenses, or even little to no actual medical value some standard care meds can have, just, if not more important are What Are The Combination Affects They Can Have Between Them!!! This information shows the same applies to the thousands of food additives we get, Europe doesn't even allow on an individual level and I suspect they haven't even looked into what those combinations can be. To say nothing about what are the combination affects of the meds and the food additives.

This shows why pre-type 2 diabetes as well as Type 2 diabetes numbers once never ever seen and our Chronic Dis-ease's are at epidemic levels. While we are at it, I will have to hear it again to be sure, but, I was floored when I heard a Big Pharma Ad stating Diabetes is a genetic dis-ease. While if I heard correctly - they did not state Type 1, yes, Type 2 No! All part of a new campaign to have the population to accept the notion such things are "normal," and to push further the make your body look like and function as a corpse shot? Just one more thing we are supposed to accept the bizarre, twisted are normalized and what was normal for eons never existed in the first place?

Thank you, Just, for your summary of the evidence of the significant health risks of super-processed foods loaded with toxic additives that multiply the damage. The skyrocketing obesity rates are just one part of a vicious cycle of health effects linked to super-processed foods.

The diet in the United States is notorious for being anything but healthy. In fact, some substances are permitted in this country, while they have been banned in the European Union. These are popular additives such as red food coloring No. 3, brominated vegetable oil, potassium bromate, and propylparaben. The main reason is that numerous studies have shown they can cause negative health effects.

The skyrocketing obesity rates are just one part of a vicious cycle of health effects linked to super-processed foods. Nearly 40% of adults in the United States and 18.5% of children suffer from obesity, and the rise in obesity rates is alarming. In fact, in less than two decades, the obesity rate among adults increased by 30%, while among children, it increased by 33%, according to the report "The State of Obesity: Better Policies for a Healthier America," published by Trust for America's Health (TFAH) and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

This is the case with potassium bromate, which improves the baking properties of flour. The use of this additive is banned for human consumption in many countries because it causes health problems, including gastrointestinal and nervous disorders, and cancer. However, it is a common ingredient in bread made and consumed in the United States. Since 1969, the FDA has approved the use of nine artificial colors in food products, including Reds 3 and 40 and Yellows 5 and 6. Last year, the California Food Safety Act was introduced, banning the use of four key ingredients—Red Dye No. 3, brominated vegetable oil, potassium bromate, and propylparaben—in the state's foods. Studies in both animals and humans have linked these additives to potential negative health effects. The law, amended and signed by Governor Gavin Newsom in early October, will not go into effect until 2027. Any company that violates the law would face a first fine of up to $5,000 and up to $10,000 for each subsequent violation.

Overseas countries, you may not find these ingredients on labels in some countries. With some exceptions, Red 3 is banned as a food additive in Australia, New Zealand, and the European Union.

Scott Faber, vice president of government affairs for the nonprofit health organization Environmental Working Group (EWG), called the evidence linking artificial colors to negative health effects "compelling," adding that any risk is too high.

Consuming artificial colors can cause hyperactivity and neurobehavioral problems in some children, according to a 2021 report by the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment. In 1990, in response to research linking Red 3 to cancer in rats, the EWG banned the use of titanium dioxide, an ingredient initially included in the California bill, but was removed before its passage by California Governor Gavin Newsome. According to the EWG website, thousands of food products sold in the US now contain titanium dioxide.

Titanium dioxide has been banned as a food additive in the EU since August 2022. The decision was based on a 2021 safety assessment by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). The controversy surrounding this ingredient stems from whether nanoparticle-sized titanium dioxide can penetrate cells and damage our DNA (genotoxicity).

Australia, New Zealand, and Canada have refused to regulate titanium dioxide, citing insufficient toxicity testing in humans. In a 2022 safety review, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) concluded that "there is currently no evidence to suggest that dietary exposure to food-grade titanium dioxide is of concern to human health," according to an agency representative. Let's look at some examples of food ingredients and additives that are banned in the EU:

--Potassium bromate

--Azodicarbonamide

--Brominated vegetable oil (BVO)

--Olestra

--Titanium dioxide (TiO2)

--Sudan dyes

--Auramine O (AO)

--Rhodamine B

--Propylparaben

--Artificial colors (Yellow No. 5, No. 6, Red No. 40.-----
